Wenpeng Cui, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of The Second Hospital of Jilin University. Prof. Cui is a young committee member of Nephrology Committee, China Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Prof. Cui also works as an editor or a reviewer of ten global journals, such as Journal of Diabetes, BMC Nephrology and so on.
Prof. Cui graduated from Jilin University and has engaged in clinical work for almost ten years. Prof. Cui also studied the mechanisms and the treatment of chronic kidney diseases at Chinese PLA General Hospital in 2009 and The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhongshan University in 2015, respectively. Prof. Cui is expert in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of primary and secondary glomerular diseases, and peritoneal dialysis catheter implantation, central venous catheterization and arteriovenous fistula angioplasty. Prof. Cui has rich clinical experiences in the long-term management of peritoneal dialysis patients.
Prof. Cui engaged in basic research about diabetic nephropathy and obesity related kidney disease in University of Louisville and University of Kentucky from 2011-2014. Prof. Cui published 60 articles, 44 of which are cited by SCI. Prof. Cui undertook one National Natural Science Foundation of China and five province foundations. Prof. Cui achieved The Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award (the third prize), Jilin Science and Technology Progress Award (the first prize), Jilin Science and Technology Progress Award (the second prize), Jilin Natural Science Academic Achievement Award (the first prize) and Jilin University medical achievement award (the second prize).
